Justin Bieber is a suspect in a criminal battery ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
Justin was in Calabasas, where he lives, just after noon Sunday at a mall called The Commons. A paparazzo attempted to take Justin's picture and, according to law enforcement, some sort of physical altercation erupted between Justin and the camera guy.
The photog called 911, and when cops arrived Justin and GF Selena Gomez had already split.
The photog complained of pain to his upper torso, an ambulance was summoned and he was taken to a local hospital where he was examined and released a short time later.
The photog filed a police report naming Justin as the culprit. Cops are investigating the incident as a misdemeanor battery.
Law enforcement tells us detectives want to speak with Justin, Selena and any other witnesses.
We placed a call to Justin's rep ... so far, no comment.

This is so exciting. I've followed the group for a few years now, specifically Colton. Some of ONTD might recognize him from some of the songs he has covered and put on Youtube. This is officially my summer jam. What does ONTD think? What are y'alls summer jams?

Mariah Carey's estranged sister Alison is desperate to mend her rift with the singer and meet the star's twins Moroccan and Monroe for the first time.
The 42-year-old singer and her elder sibling Alison Carey - a former prostitute and drug addict - have spoken just once since 1994 but Alison hopes they can reconcile as she wants to meet her niece and nephew, twins Moroccan and Monroe, who turned one last month.

Since its release, Metallica’s Black Album has gone on to sell more than 16 million copies worldwide. But that was in 1991, and apparently it’s been just long enough that the once-legendary thrash quartet can’t afford to live off the royalties of an album that’s about to be old enough to drink in the United States. It’s sad, we know. But that’s the reality the band talked about with Rolling Stone, where they outlined the harsh living conditions imposed by the modern music industry. Among them, that it’s an actual job.“The cycles of taking two years off don’t exist anymore. We were able to do that because we had record royalties coming in consistently,” said Guitarist Kirk Hammett. “Now you put out an album, and you have a windfall maybe once or twice but not the way it used to be — a check every three months.”
Yes, you read that right. Metallica, a band who merchandises everything from boardgames to lunch boxes, is upset that they can’t take two years off whenever they want. A band whose tours can rake up as much as $90 million dollars (thanks for the tip, MetalSucks) is upset that they can’t live off of the albums that made people like them two decades ago. It’s a travesty, and a real condemnation on the greed of… Metallica, actually.

DANZIG frontman Glenn Danzig has accused Hugh Jackman of playing Wolverine in a "gay" way.
Metal fans have long clung onto rumours that their horror-punk hero was in the running to play the clawed berserker in the first X-Men film.
Danzig confirmed to LA Weekly that he had been approached by the producers to audition for the part that turned Jackman into a star but he turned them down. "I'm glad I didn't do it. It was terrible," he said.
When asked how he would have played the part differently to Jackman, he said: "It wouldn't have been as gay. Actually, (Jackman) wasn't the first choice. They hired Dougray Scott. He had a falling out with the director, and then they hired Hugh Jackman."

Opening with the sound of a baby crying and the name and date of birth of his daughter Destiny, the dad-rap track traces Destiny's life from her third birthday to watching her dad's videos to concerned parent Nas not wanting his daughter to sext on Twitter and instagram a box of condoms. While future generations may have to ask their own parents what instagram and Twitter is, "Daughters" shows another side to the versatile MC.
